This Privacy Policy describes how Realty Prep ("the app", "we", "us") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our iOS application. Realty Prep is operated by an independent developer. If you have any questions, contact us at yu@anyu.dev.

1. Information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to deliver the service. Specifically:

DataPurposeLinked to your identity?
Email addressAccount sign-in, account recovery, support communicationYes
User ID (opaque account identifier)Identifying your account on our backend so your progress syncs across devicesYes
Product interactions (questions answered, correctness, session history, bookmarks, exam attempts)Powering practice, smart review, readiness estimates, and progress trackingYes
Purchase history (subscription status, transaction identifiers)Granting Pro access and restoring purchasesYes
Crash and diagnostic dataIdentifying bugs and improving stabilityNo (not linked to your account)

We do not collect your name, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or browsing history. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that track you across apps or websites.

Website waitlist (optional)

If you submit the state-request form on our website, we record your selected U.S. states, license-type preference, locale, and a salted hash of your IP address (used only for spam rate-limiting). If you also choose to leave an email address, we store it in a separate waitlist record and use it solely to notify you when we launch a jurisdiction you voted for and for occasional, low-frequency product updates. We never share this email with third parties, do not use it for advertising, and will remove it on request — contact yu@anyu.dev.

2. How we use your information

  • To operate the app and provide its core features (practice, mock exams, review).
  • To maintain your account and sync your progress between devices.
  • To process subscription purchases and restores.
  • To respond to support requests you send us.
  • To diagnose crashes and improve the app's reliability.

We do not use your information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell your information.

3. Third-party services

We use the following third-party service providers to operate the app. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy commitments:

  • Supabase (supabase.com) — authentication, database, and serverless functions. Stores your account email, user ID, and practice data.
  • Apple (App Store / StoreKit) — processes all subscription payments. We never see your payment card details. Apple shares with us only a transaction identifier and your subscription status.
  • Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In — if you choose these sign-in options, they provide us with your email address (or a relay email, in Apple's case).

4. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see section 5), we delete your profile, practice history, and associated records from our backend within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for service improvement.

Apple retains purchase records according to its own policies, which we cannot override.

5. Your rights and choices

Delete your account

You can delete your account at any time from within the app: Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, email, practice history, and bookmarks from our backend. This action cannot be undone.

Access and correction

Your practice history and account details are visible inside the app. To request a copy of the data we hold about you, or to correct it, email yu@anyu.dev.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information. To exercise these rights, email yu@anyu.dev.

Opt-out of crash diagnostics

You can disable sharing diagnostic data with app developers at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers.

6. Children's privacy

Realty Prep is intended for adults preparing for a professional licensing exam. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit (TLS encryption) and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International users

Our servers are located in the United States. If you use the app from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Material changes will be surfaced in the app.
